Coming from a place of open floor plans and generous outdoor living space, the owners of this home wanted to focus on updates that would introduce an inside-outside flow. The layout had many smaller rooms so our design focused on a large, expansive family room addition that seamlessly opens up to an outdoor oasis. We also incorporated a mudroom for indoor-outdoor ease and a wine room for elegant storage space. 

One challenge we were met with was making sure the addition seamlessly blended in with the original Mediterranean style exterior. This required adding a new brick facade to a previous addition that had been done with stucco We also added two copper arched roofs above the large doors leading out to the new pool, creating an elevated entryway. 

With so many elements to capture attention, this residence was featured on the 2022 Druid Hills Tour of Homes and continues to stand out.
