Built into a sharply sloped backyard, this outdoor project turns a challenging site into a layered space for cooking, swimming, and relaxing just steps from the home. What was once unusable grade is now a series of connected terraces that feel both elevated and tucked into the landscape.
To make it possible, the entire pool and patio structure is supported by helical piers—an engineered foundation system drilled deep into stable soil so the terrace can safely float above the hillside. At the heart of the design, a sleek infinity-edge pool mirrors the surrounding woods, with a sunken spa and built-in seating framing views toward the lawn below. A covered outdoor kitchen completes the upper level, blending durable materials and simple lines that complement the architecture of the house.
